14 Questions With Our New Operations Director

  1. What will your day to day look like at the h3 group?

My role in h3 is to lead the operations across our four Business pillars and ensure we deliver excellence to our customer base. It will be important for me to have influence on safety, people, finance, customer experience and our supply chain.

  1. On a scale of 1 – 10, how will this be different from your previous roles?

7 – this will be a completely new sector for myself, but there will be aspects of Supply Chain that will be a strength, my transferrable skills will support the transition.

  1. In your opinion, how would you define a successful workday?

I am a great fan of a to do list, and I feel as long and you can work through tangible actions, have meetings on time and keep them short full of action the day is a success, having fun always helps too.

  1. What is your go to Greggs Order?

Bacon and sausage roll or a chicken roll with a coke zero.

  1. How do you usually unwind after a long day of work?

Spend time with my family and take some time to reflect, even if it is short.

  1. Work from home or work in the office?

Having done both, working in an office environment is my preference and collaborating and see people achieve daily inspires me.

  1. What are you most proud of?

    Love watching England cricket and Wales in rugby.

  2. Ideal holiday destination?

Anywhere in the Caribbean where there are good rum cocktails.

Currently – A Bar Song – Shaboozeey

  1. What are you most grateful for?

Family again – a bit of a theme and the opportunity to do better.

  1. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Being a Dad taxi.

  1. Tell Us more about your cricket career?

Short and sweet – famous for hitting Simon Jones (ex-England cricketer) for 6, scored 170 not out as a 16-year-old. Back-to-back Welsh cup wins was a fun couple of years. Went out on top.

  1. Will you get back on the field?

If I do it will be to play with my son if he decides to take it up.
